Firearms Courses

 The CFSC includes 8 hours of instruction and handling plus tests.  Our courses begin Saturday mornings, doors open at 7:45 am for registration.  The course will commence at 8:00 am sharp! The Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) was developed in partnership with the provinces and territories, national organizations with an ongoing interest in firearms safety, and many firearms and hunter education course instructors from across Canada. 

The CFSC consists of both classroom instruction in correlation with the Student Handbook, as well as practical instruction with hands on use of non-restricted firearms. This course is also the pre-requisite for persons interested in obtaining the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course.

The CRFSC includes 4 hours of instruction and handling plus tests. Students must have completed the 8 hour CFSC course to be eligible for this course.

In accordance with the Firearms Act, a new firearms safety course focusing on restricted firearms (primarily handguns) was developed and implemented on February 1, 1999. The legislation stipulates that individuals wishing to acquire restricted firearms must take the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC).  Our courses begin Sunday afternoon , doors open at 12:45 pm for registration.  The course will commence at 1:00 pm sharp!
